Maintenance Technician – Houston
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an on-site Maintenance Technician to join our team. This person needs to be a team player and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. This person needs to have a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to handle change on a frequent basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
On-Site At Properties
- Performing routine exterior inspections to the grounds of Fort Capital’s Houston industrial properties
- Performing routine interior inspections to any vacant units and common areas
- Completing digital property inspection reports and reporting back to Property Managers on as-found conditions
- Responding promptly to requests from Property Managers to ensure problems are being solved to the mutual benefit of the tenant and the properties
- Completing tenant service requests accurately and expediently
- Monitoring and scheduling work orders and projects
- Being the on-site contact for vendors
- Participating in, assisting, and taking responsibility for establishing and improving maintenance and operations schedules for all equipment, grounds, and facility components
- Completing Hazard Assessments as necessary
- Facilitating a preventative maintenance program for each property
On-Site At Office
- Checking the mail, distributing to team members, and/or scanning mail to remote team members (Daily)
- Listening to and routing voicemails to team members (Daily)
- Tidying common areas (Daily)
- Restocking and ordering supplies for kitchens, conference rooms, and team members (Weekly)
- Shipping / receiving packages for team members
- Maintaining the printers
- Miscellaneous tasks such as coffee machine maintenance, clearing space for new hires, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Handyman work experience preferred, included but not limited to door repair, ceiling tile repair, general painting, key control, housekeeping, porter responsibilities, and lighting replacement and / or maintenance
- Willing to be the on-call response to general building emergencies reported from Property Managers
- Reliable transportation required for an estimated 50% of time spent driving (mileage will be reimbursed)
- Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds, able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and capable of climbing ladders
