Chris is a serial entrepreneur with 19 years of real estate development and investment experience. He founded Fort Capital and to date, the company has invested over $2.1B in Class B industrial, commercial, multifamily, student housing, and land development projects throughout the state of Texas and the Sunbelt. In 2016, Chris made the decision to focus on Class B Industrial full time and that is where the firm has dedicated the majority of its resources since.
Chris spends time focusing on Fort’s long-term strategy, fostering strategic relationships, and building capital relationships that will help complement the firm’s growth. He is also the host of The FORT Podcast and has published 325+ episodes to date through a series of raw business conversations with business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Chris graduated with a BBA in Finance & Marketing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. Chris is a member of the Fort Worth YPO Chapter and attends Christ Chapel Bible Church. He lives in Fort Worth, TX with his family.
Jason Baxter joined Fort Capital in 2015, bringing more than 25 years of real estate industry experience, an acute passion for entrepreneurship, and a vision for transforming big ideas into reality. As Chief Executive Officer / President, Jason oversees Fort Capital’s strategic vision and execution of acquisitions, finances, and annual planning. In addition, Jason oversees the Fort Capital Leadership Team and Investment Committee.
Jason brings more than two decades of knowledge and experience in leadership and strategic business execution. Jason honed his skills and knowledge while working for the nation’s largest, privately-held home builder before joining Fort Capital, where he gained a wealth of experience in building and leading sales, construction, and operations in one of the largest markets in the country. During his career, he has managed the acquisition, development, and sale of real estate assets totaling over $2.1B.
Steve Bailey joined Fort Capital in January of 2019 as Director of Construction. In 2020, Steve led the charge in launching our property management division and was promoted to his current title of President. Steve is responsible for executing all critical business plans and ensuring superior service for our 1,500+ tenants.
Steve graduated with a B.B.A. in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been in the real estate industry for 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in leadership and building high-performing teams. Steve has been involved in over $1B in transactions throughout his career.
Outside of work Steve enjoys golf, anything outdoors, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Abby Robinson joined Fort Capital in February 2018 as our Director of Marketing. She was promoted to VP of Operations & Marketing in November 2020 and Executive Vice President of Operations & Marketing in December 2022. In her role, Abby works directly with the CEO on the strategic development of company goals and reporting practices, driving forward executive-level projects, leading the company’s hiring and employee engagement efforts, and steering the marketing strategies for a broad range of initiatives.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Abby worked as an Account Manager in New York City at several award-winning advertising agencies. She gained a breadth of experience developing fully-integrated marketing campaigns with a digital and social focus for brands including American Express, L’Oreal, JPMorgan Chase, and Pier1 Imports. After five years of ‘city living,’ Abby decided to make the move back to Texas to work at Southwest Airlines on the Marketing Communications team, and ultimately helped found their Brand Strategy team, bringing with her a driven, strategic, and results-oriented approach.
Abby is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management. She is a member of the Junior League of Fort Worth. Outside of the office, Abby enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and daughters, Ruthie and Rose.
Liz Kisselburgh joined Fort Capital as Controller in 2017, bringing a wealth of accounting and legal experience to the team. She was promoted to Vice President of Accounting and Controller in June 2021 and Executive Vice President of Accounting and Controller in December 2022. In her role, Liz manages a team of 9 accountants and oversees all aspects of Fort Capital’s monthly accounting, financial reporting, and human resources initiatives. She has also completed the BOMI Property Management Financial Proficiency Certification Program.
Liz received her BBA in Accounting and Juris Doctor from Mississippi College. Liz is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Forensic Accountant with years of experience in tax and finance. Prior to joining Fort, she spent 7 years of her career in commercial lending managing a loan portfolio of over $50 million in commercial real estate. Additionally, Liz has significant legal and forensic accounting experience in personal and business partnership disputes.
Outside of work, Liz and her husband Robert, enjoy traveling, hiking, playing golf, going to concerts, and spending time with their boys.
Greg Adams joined Fort Capital in June 2019 as Director of Technology and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Technology in December 2022. In this role, he is responsible for the planning and execution of digital strategies. He brings a love for new technologies such as cloud computing, blockchain, and machine learning to Fort Capital’s platforms, as well as years of experience in the finance and construction industries.
Greg began his career in mortgages at one of the largest non-bank servicers. While there, he facilitated the work of hundreds of individuals across the globe with database systems and supported divisions through the company’s IPO and quadrupling in size, with assets exceeding $200 billion.
In 2014, Greg left to pursue an interest in green building and joined Tempo, Inc., whose subsidiaries TexEnergy and US-EcoLogic boast the title of largest LEED for Homes providers. Tempo’s energy rating businesses span across the globe, with satellite offices around the United States and projects reaching as far as the Middle East. As Director of Business Information, he designed and built one of the most powerful cloud-based data systems in the energy rating industry. Built on top of the Google Cloud Platform, Tempo’s data platform connects 100,000+ field data collection points to internal office processes and external partners’ systems daily. Additionally, Greg served on Tempo’s Board of Directors, assisting with broader corporate strategy and conducting leadership workshops and technical training boot camps for data analysts.
Greg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas and completed two study-abroad courses in India and Ghana. He enjoys road tripping, camping, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and two rescue dogs at their Oak Cliff home.
After developing a great working relationship with Fort Capital, Shana joined the team in February 2016 and has held a variety of roles with the company. In her current role as Senior Executive Coordinator, Shana is responsible for filtering and managing executive projects and initiatives, management of the CEO’s time, and activities to ensure high-value time utilization in relation to external and internal requirements.
Shana started her career in banking and occupied a few roles until finding her niche in Commercial Lending. She developed a passion for real estate in her primary role as a Commercial Lending Assistant. Shana’s background aided in developing strong organization and people skills which have led her to her current role.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Thomas, and two boys, Ian and Bryce.
Hunter Nurdin joined Fort Capital full-time in January 2018 as a Financial Analyst, was promoted to Finance Manager in 2019, and now serves as our VP of Finance. In this role, Hunter manages the Finance team and works directly with the Acquisitions department to implement and execute the company’s investment strategy. His key responsibilities include originating debt financing for all investments, underwriting new investment opportunities, presenting all investment opportunities to Investment Committee, preparing equity offering memorandums, creating & maintaining all forecasting models, and managing our quarterly investor reporting process. Hunter is also a member of Fort Capital’s Executive Team.
Throughout his time at Fort Capital, Hunter has gained relevant experience working with both Finance and Acquisitions teams to underwrite investment opportunities, operate the assets and ultimately execute the investment strategy. To date, Hunter has assisted in the acquisition of $905 million of Industrial real estate and has originated $645 million in Senior Debt Financing.
Hunter graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
Rob Brandt joined Fort Capital in March 2021 as Director of Leasing. In December 2022, Rob was promoted to Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions. In this role, Rob manages and drives the leasing of Fort Capital’s industrial, office, and retail assets. He also assists with transactions and acquisitions as the firm continues to grow its commercial portfolio.
Rob has a deep understanding of the industrial asset class. As an asset manager at a large institution, he was responsible for the performance of approximately 10 million square feet of Class A industrial properties across the country. Rob’s most recent role before joining Fort Capital involved acquisitions of Class B industrial buildings throughout DFW.
Rob graduated with an MBA from the University of Missouri, where he also received his BBA in Finance and Real Estate. Outside of work, Rob and his wife, Laura, enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and cheering on the Dallas Mavericks.
As Director of Transactions & Investor Relations, Lorna leads the team accountable to all Fort Capital investors—from onboarding to investment offerings and distributions—to ensure that Fort Capital provides exceptional customer service to its stakeholders. Lorna also directs the Transaction team, oversees the closings of all Fort Capital acquisitions and dispositions, and manages Fort Capital’s insurance portfolio.
Lorna joined Fort Capital in January 2019. Lorna is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Business Marketing. In her free time, Lorna enjoys traveling with her husband, Ryan, and spending time with their daughter, Gianna.
Hannah Davidian joined Fort Capital in June 2019 as a Brand Coordinator. Over the years, she has played pivotal roles in various departments, from Business Analyst to Technical Project Manager, contributing significantly to the Technology team’s operational support across the organization. In September 2023, Hannah was promoted to her current role as Director of Product Operations.
In this role, Hannah leads strategic planning initiatives, enhancing operational effectiveness in alignment with our business objectives. She bridges the gap between Technology and Operations, ensuring efficient project execution and resource allocation. Hannah also leads the adoption of new technologies and automation, streamlines processes, and fosters a culture of collaboration.
Hannah graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with Real Estate and a Leadership Emphasis in May 2019. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the Trinity Trails with her Chocolate Lab, Murphy.
Morgan Cremer joined Fort Capital in February 2020 as our Marketing Manager. She was promoted to Senior Marketing Manager in May 2021 and then promoted to her current title, Director of Marketing, in December 2022. She has a passion for the ever-evolving digital industry and the data that drives it. Here at the Fort, she applies that passion by driving all of our marketing projects forward and identifying new opportunities within the digital space.
Morgan comes to the team from the advertising agency world, where she gained experience in a wide variety of digital channels. These channels include paid and organic social, paid and organic search, display, email marketing, and analytics across a variety of industries.
Aside from Digital Marketing, this Texas Christian University grad loves traveling with her husband, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Eloise.
John Wall has been a pivotal member of Fort Capital since February 2017. Currently serving as the Assistant Controller, John has adeptly transitioned his focus to the preparation of corporate financial statements. This role highlights his deep expertise in the nuanced facets of financial reporting and analysis. His responsibilities now primarily include a comprehensive review of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting, upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and accuracy.
Throughout his tenure at Fort Capital, John has excelled in a variety of roles, starting as a Staff Accountant, advancing to Senior Accountant, and then assuming the position of Accounting Manager. This diverse journey through the accounting department has not only sharpened his skills but also enabled him to make significant contributions to the company’s financial strategies. Recognized for his exemplary performance, John has been instrumental in fostering the growth and efficiency of the accounting team, mentoring full-time team members and interns with a dedication to excellence and professional development.
John is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned a BSBA in Accounting with a minor in Sports Management. His commitment to continuous learning and professional growth is evident in his recent achievement of a Master of Accountancy, which he completed while fulfilling his full-time responsibilities at Fort Capital. Currently, John is on the path to attaining his CPA, a pursuit that further reinforces his expertise and leadership in the field. Away from the office, John and his wife, Molly, have a passion for travel, hiking, and spending quality time with family.
Brenna Meier joined Fort Capital in 2021 as Transaction Coordinator. In December 2022, she was promoted to Transactions Manager where she represents Fort Capital on all transaction matters by collaborating with the Deal, Accounting, Finance, and Investor Relations teams to successfully acquire & close all assets. She manages Fort Capital’s master insurance portfolio including risk management, portfolio strategy, process improvements, and the growth & fostering of relationships with industry partners.
After living in Fort Worth for years, Brenna now resides in her home state of Kansas where she and her family enjoy long walks with their pup in the mornings, tailgating KSU football games, and visiting friends & family in the area.
Desirae Jones joined Fort Capital in April 2021 as a Property Manager, managing 900K+ square feet with the majority of her portfolio being third-party owned. In September 2022, Desirae was promoted to Investor Relations Coordinator and was promoted to her current title of Investor Relations Manager in December 2023.
In this role, Desirae manages all Fort Capital investor relations processes. Desirae ensures that Fort Capital provides the best customer service to our investors by providing seamless onboarding, providing details on investment offerings and distributing details on investment distributions, managing the quarterly investor reporting process, and all things in between. With a commitment to transparent communication, Desirae ensures that our investors are well-informed and confident in their decisions.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Desirae brought with her five years of experience in retail property management and lease administration, overseeing 150+ tenants and interacting with tenants using her effective communication skills to solve problems.
Originally from Midland, Desirae graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing. She moved to Dallas in 2016. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
David joined Fort Capital in May of 2022 as an Asset Analyst and was promoted to Senior Asset Analyst in December 2023. In this role, David works directly with Fort Capital’s Finance, Accounting, and Property Management teams on the operational performance of assets, leasing performance, and refinance and disposition timing. His key responsibilities include reviewing asset-level financials in comparison to initial underwriting, preparing post-closing operating models to include actual project costs and capitalization, and recommending new operational strategies based on current asset performance and market trends.
David is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a BBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, cheering on TCU football, and walking his dog, Frank.
Blaze Brownlow joined Fort Capital in November 2021 as a Financial Analyst and was promoted in December 2023 to Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, Blaze works directly with the Finance and Acquisitions departments to execute the investment strategy on all assets. His key responsibilities include the initial underwriting of new investment opportunities, preparing equity offering memorandum’s, assisting in the creation/maintenance of all forecasting models, and assisting in quarterly investor reporting.
Blaze graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BBA in Accounting and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Texas. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing golf, hunting and fishing.
Shelbi joined Fort Capital in September 2022 as a Transactions Coordinator and was promoted to her current title, Senior Transactions Coordinator in December 2023. In this role, Shelbi supports our Insurance and Transaction Desk operations by overseeing daily tasks for acquisitions and dispositions until successfully closing and assisting with all insurance-related tasks to place coverage effectively.
Shelbi is a born and raised Texas native and a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.A. in University Studies with focuses in Communication, PR, and Organizational Leadership. Her background is in non-profit management and title and escrow accounting.
In Shelbi’s free time, she likes to explore and take weekend trips around, go to concerts with friends, catch a Stars game, and find the best local coffee and farmer’s markets.
Bradley McLaughlin joined Fort Capital in February 2022 as a Data Engineer. He is responsible for designing and developing essential tools that process and manage data in our growing cloud-based infrastructure. Bradley brings a strong background in Accounting and Finance along with 3 years of experience in the cloud computing space.
Bradley began his career in the residential construction industry as an Accountant. From there, he ventured into business intelligence as an Analyst where his enthusiasm for technology surfaced. He designed and launched tools that automated his old accounting responsibilities and eventually moved on to work in the IT department of a finance firm.
Bradley graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BS in Accounting and MS in Data Science. In his free time, he enjoys playing disc golf and is always looking for opportunities to build something new.
Shane Markwardt joined Fort Capital in November 2022 as an IT Specialist and was promoted to his current role, TechOps Engineer in September 2023. In his role on the Technology Team, Shane is responsible for maintaining our on-demand IT help desk, implementing security policies, and user provisioning for onboarding and offboarding.
Shane is a Fort Worth native and graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems and a B.S. in Computer Science from Oregon State. He enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family and walking his two dogs.
Nathan Metheny joined Fort Capital in December 2022 as an Economic Strategist and later transitioned into his current role of Research Scientist. In this role, he will be applying his skills in prompt engineering, information retrieval strategies, and algorithm development with Foster.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Nathan paired his technological background with his real estate knowledge to perform in-depth market research for several multi-billion-dollar firms, research that spanned from broad-based macroeconomic indicators to intricate regional trends. Fort Capital was an outlier with its standout culture and operations process, and after developing a strong working relationship, he was eager to join the team when awarded the opportunity.
Nathan graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in International Business. Following his BA, Nathan completed an online ‘study-abroad’ internship with a Singaporean quantitative real estate investment firm, building large-scale machine learning systems within the real estate sector, obtained a certification in Applied Machine Learning from MIT, and is now finishing an MS of Engineering in Applied Artificial Intelligence at the University of San Diego.
In his free time, he loves to read, work out, spend time with family, and hike the trails of Appalachia.
Colton Paulson joined Fort Capital in January 2024 as a Business Analyst in the Fort Worth office. In this role, Colton works directly with the Operations department to streamline and enhance business processes. His key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, developing SQL queries for data extraction, ensuring data accuracy, providing strategic insights, designing dashboards and reports, integrating new systems and processes, and fostering Fort Capital’s data-driven culture.
Colton graduated from the University of Notre Dame with his M.S. in Business Analytics. Prior to Notre Dame, he attended the University of Louisville, where he received his B.S. in Sport / Business Administration. He was also a member of the Swim & Dive teams at both Universities. In his free time, he loves to be active and outdoors playing disc golf and pickleball, as well as exploring Fort Worth with his fiancée, Delaney.
Adrienne Arebalo joined Fort Capital as a Staff Accountant in July 2023. In this role, she will be supporting the accounting team with employee payroll and benefits, the onboarding/offboarding of employees, managing expense reports, and more.
Bringing several years of accounting experience, Adrienne started her career in the oil and gas industry where she held various roles that enabled her to learn various aspects of the business.
This Texas panhandle native, enjoys watching sports with her husband and son, spoiling her two dogs, and being around her family.
Bri joined Fort Capital in September of 2023 as a Part-time Office Manager in the Fort Worth Office. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for overseeing administrative and operational tasks within the Fort Worth office, ensuring efficient daily operations and a productive work environment.
Bri graduated from TCU with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Clayton and their dog Moose and visiting family and friends in California.
Jordan Freitas joined Fort Capital in March of 2020 as a Property Manager and was promoted to Senior Property Manager in December of 2021. In his current role as Director of Project Management, Jordan plays a pivotal role in enhancing our portfolio’s performance through property management expertise, guiding acquisitions, overseeing CapEx projects, and providing valuable support to our property management team.
Originally from England, Jordan came to the United States on a tennis scholarship graduating from Texas Christian University with a BBA in Finance and Real Estate. Following some time in England after his undergraduate work, Jordan returned to Texas to further his education by receiving his Masters in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Jordan coached tennis, starting a tennis academy based out of Trinity Valley School and All Saints’ Episcopal School. In 2013, Jordan changed career paths to focus on Real Estate where he joined Haydn Culter Company as their Property Manager, managing over a million square feet of retail and industrial properties.
In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing tennis and golf, watching his beloved Arsenal Football Club, and spending time with his wife, Ashley.
Kim Mitchell developed a relationship working with Fort Capital in 2018 coming on board with TIG to work exclusively on the Fort Capital portfolio. During this time, she worked closely with the Accounting and Asset Management Teams of Fort Capital as well as TIG’s property management group to prepare monthly financial reporting. Kim transitioned from TIG to Fort Capital in September of 2020 continuing her work with this portfolio. In December of 2021, Kim was promoted to Senior Property Accountant and promoted to her current role of Director of Property Accounting in December 2022.
Kim has 15 years of accounting experience including 5 years as a Controller of a church in Oklahoma where she began her career as a financial secretary. After moving to Texas with her husband and two children in 2014, she worked as Property Accountant for Landmark Real Estate in Austin and realized she really enjoyed real estate accounting. Relocating to Dallas, she joined TIG in 2018 and began her relationship with Fort Capital.
Kim loves spending time with friends and family, especially her grown children who are beginning their lives in the DFW area! She and her husband love to travel spend time outside and on the water.
Natalie joined Fort Capital in August of 2023 as a Senior Property Manager. Based in the Dallas office, she will be responsible for tenant relations, day-to-day operations, and oversight of capital projects.
Natalie has 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, managing various types of properties including industrial, retail, and office. The bulk of her experience was gained while working as a Senior Property Manager at a development firm in Houston, leading the operational start-up for five mixed-use properties totaling 900,000 square feet.
Natalie graduated from the University of Houston with a BA in Humanities. She spent a brief year in Seattle prior to moving to Dallas in May of 2022. In her free time, Natalie enjoys traveling with her husband, John Scot, and taking walks with her daughter, Scottie.
Brittany Brandt joined Fort Capital in January of 2022 as an Assistant Property Manager. In March of 2022, Brittany was promoted to Property Manager. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple properties and managing tenant relations.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Brittany was a results-driven Vendor Account Manager for a property preservation company. She brings with her 6 years of experience in fostering business-to-business relationships with 90 companies nationwide, most recently in Kentucky, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Originally from Ohio, Brittany graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work, Brittany and her husband enjoy cooking, hosting friends and family, and spending time with their dog, Clive.
Anna Escobedo joined Fort Capital in May 2022 as a Property Manager. She is responsible for managing tenant relations and the day-to-day operations across multiple assets.
Anna is a highly motivated individual with a strong sales, operations management, and training background consisting of 9+ years in customer service, residential management, and Retail/Office space operations. She has managed 650K square feet and over 400 tenants in commercial real estate in the Dallas Market.
Anna was born and raised in Kaufman, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, finding a new book to read, and going on outdoor adventures with her dog, Mash Potato.
Lauren joined Fort Capital as a Property Manager in September of 2022. With a solution-driven mindset, her tenacity and focus help drive desired results. Lauren is energetic and motivated to make a difference in all her endeavors all the while keeping her client’s best interest at heart.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Lauren was a Property Manager at Greystar Real Estate Partners in Irving, TX. She brings with her six years of diverse portfolio experience comprised of single family, multi-family and commercial property management. Lauren oversaw the day-to-day operations of multiple assets managing over 2,000 tenants during her tenure.

Chris joined Fort Capital in May 2023 as an Assistant Property Manager. In this role, he will be responsible for tenant relations, ensuring all day-to-day operations of multiple DFW properties run smoothly, and initiating and managing future capital projects.
Chris has 15 years of experience in property management on the residential side throughout Tarrant County.
Originally from Connecticut, Chris joined The U.S. Navy and then moved to Fort Worth to finish his degree. In his free time, Chris enjoys cruising and RV camping with his wife.
Elizabeth joined Fort Capital in January 2024 as an Assistant Property Manager. She is responsible for managing tenant relations and supporting the daily operations of the DFW properties.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Elizabeth held accounting, project management, and grant management positions. She has thrived in positions demanding excellence.
Elizabeth received her MBA from Baker University and BFA from Texas State University. In her free time, she loves biking, gardening, and swimming, but above all, spending time with her husband, Siamese cat, and golden retriever.
Chris Wu joined Fort Capital in July 2019 as an Asset Manager, bringing with him 9 years of experience in multifamily acquisitions, development, and investment sales. He then transitioned to join the Property Management team as a Property Manager. He is now our Senior Portfolio Administrator where he is responsible for streamlining our Property Management operations. His passion for real estate has carried him into principal investing, which drives his curiosity of new markets and product types.
Chris began his career underwriting institutional-grade assets for sale on behalf of large pension funds, REITs, and sponsored capital groups. From there, he participated in equity placements towards major DFW projects near AllianceTexas and the George W. Bush Presidential Library, among other investments throughout the metroplex. His most recent experience in affordable housing development and management rounds out his capacity for major real estate functions.
Chris is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business with a B.S. in Finance. In his spare time, he enjoys producing music, spending time with family and friends, volunteering, and traveling.
Gabe Gaucin joined Fort Capital in June 2022 as a Property Management Analyst and transitioned to a Lease Administration Analyst in February 2023. In this role, Gabe is responsible for overseeing the onboarding of new acquisitions and leases.
This Fort Worth native enjoys playing golf and tennis, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Andrea Heist joined Fort Capital full-time in June 2021 as an Assistant Property Manager after interning for over a year. In December 2021, she was promoted to Property Manager. While managing assets for Fort Capital and third-party ownership she identified her passion for operations. She began her new role as Operations Coordinator in June 2022.
She is responsible for identifying opportunities to expand FCP Management’s Third-Party portfolio, training all new Property Managers, and continuing to streamline and create FCP Management’s processes. Andrea’s experience in property budgeting has also allowed her to assist in forecasting all of the assets in the portfolio for the finance team. She is a great example of what it looks like to be a team player and help wherever she is needed. She is excited to continue to learn more about the CRE industry and strengthen her network with driven professionals.
Andrea is a graduate of Texas Christian University where she majored in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and is proficient in Spanish. In her free time, Andrea enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and hosting Horned Frog tailgates.
Hannah joined Fort Capital as a Property Accountant in April of 2023. At 16 years old, she knew she wanted to pursue her career within the accounting industry. She completed her senior year of high school and freshman year of college in tandem, majoring in Accounting at the Community College of Vermont.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, her career began in Vermont where she was a Property Accountant for a 3rd party property management company. In March of 2023, she moved to the DFW area with her parents to further her career and be closer to her older brother. She is dedicated and driven to excel in her career, empowering and leading others along the way.
Hannah is a Graduate of Champlain College where she obtained both a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She enjoys spending time outside, traveling, and with her family. In her free time, she is either working on homework or experiencing everything Texas has to offer.
Nicole Starr joined Fort Capital in March of 2022 as an Accounting Coordinator. Her experience in commercial property management started in 2017 while she worked as an administrator for an Arizona-based property management company. She grew a love for the financial side of the industry and joined Fort Capital as an Accounting Coordinator. She works as a support accountant to the FCP Management team which also includes our third-party-owned portfolios.
Originally from California, Nicole and her family made Texas their home when they moved in 2013 to extend their ministry to Fort Worth. Within her local church, she serves as a volunteer in the areas of administration as well as event planning.
In her free time, Nicole loves to be surrounded by her family and friends. She especially loves spending time and making memories with her husband & twin boys.
Ricardo Ceja joined Fort Capital in January 2023 as our Maintenance Technician. In this role, he will be responsible for handling maintenance requests across our properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Ricardo owned his own business restoring residential and multi-family assets for over 19 years.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife/family and watching new TV series.
Misty Knox joined Fort Capital in September 2022 as a Property Manager and was promoted to Senior Property Manager in September 2023, offering the team over 15 years of property and facilities management. She specializes in tenant relations, property-owner relationships, vendor coordination, and new project oversight. Her daily goal is to ensure tenants are successful.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Misty worked as a Property Manager for CBRE, managing Class A office buildings in San Antonio and a diverse group of mixed retail centers and Industrial Parks
Misty graduated from UT Arlington with a degree in Education. She moved to San Antonio in 2015. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outside kayaking and hiking with her family.
Joshua joined Fort Capital in December 2021 as a Property Manager. In this role, he will be responsible for tenant relations and day-to-day operations on our Houston portfolio. Joshua will also be responsible for initiating and managing capital projects.
Joshua has worked in Commercial Real Estate for over 4 years and has managed over 2.5 million square feet and 250+ tenants across the Houston Market.
Originally from Houston, Joshua graduated from The University of Houston with a BA in both Entrepreneurship and Management with a focus in Leadership Development. In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing sports and reading.
Debbie Contreras is a seasoned Property Manager with over 19 years of experience in the multifamily industry. She joined Fort Capital in February 2022, bringing an energetic and proactive attitude to the workplace, along with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Currently, Debbie manages over 913,761 SF of Class B industrial properties throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
Debbie began her career as a leasing professional at Trammel Crow Residential and later Riverstone Residential. She then transitioned to Gil Ramirez Commercial Properties as a Property Manager, where she successfully managed a diverse portfolio consisting of new residential homes, commercial buildings, and event centers. Her expertise led her to Figure Eight Properties, where she served as Regional Operations Manager, overseeing seven apartment communities totaling 2,400 units across Houston, Round Rock, and San Antonio.
Apart from her professional achievements, Debbie is passionate about her family and enjoys spending time with her husband and five kids. In her free time, she indulges in travel, particularly to Las Vegas.
Raven joined Fort Capital in April of 2022 as a Property Manager. In her role, she oversees tenant relations and the day-to-day operations of properties throughout the Houston area as well as remotely managing assets in Memphis, TN.
Raven brings over five years of CRE experience where she previously managed industrial, office, and retail properties. She is motivated by reaching her goals and building strong, positive relations with her tenants and vendors.
Born and raised in Houston, Raven enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband around the Bayou City, exploring different parks and nature trails.
Kelley Lockaby joined Fort Capital in August 2022 as an Assistant Property Manager and was promoted to Property Manager in December 2022. She is responsible for tenant relations, making sure all day-to-day operations of our multiple Houston properties run smoothly, as well as initiating and managing future capital projects.
Kelley has 3+ years of experience in residential Property Management. She started her career with Hanover Company in Atlanta before moving to Fort Worth and now Houston to assist in the operations of Class A+ communities.
Kelley is originally from Georgia and graduated from Kennesaw State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running the Buffalo Bayou, and traveling—especially to Colorado!
Courtney Lee joined Fort Capital in September 2023 as a Property Manager. She is responsible for managing tenant relations in addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple properties.
Before joining Fort Capital, Courtney worked as an Assistant Property Manager for a Houston-based commercial real estate firm. She has four years of expertise assisting in managing the daily operations of a portfolio totaling over 430,000 square feet of multi-tenant office, retail, and flex spaces. She is a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
Originally from Cleburne, Texas, Courtney earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas State University. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys staying active and spending time with her two dogs, Charlie and Cal. A couple of interesting facts about Courtney include her being a former NBA dancer for the Houston Rockets ‘21-‘22 season and that she performed in the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with her collegiate dance team.
Austin joined Fort Capital in April 2022 as our Property and Office Coordinator. In December 2022, he transitioned to our property management department and was then promoted to his current title of Property Manager in September 2023. In this role, he is responsible for tenant relations, ensuring all day-to-day operations of our multiple Houston properties run smoothly, and initiating and managing future capital projects.
Austin had 5+ years working as a Lead Residential Maintenance Technician before starting his career in the Commercial Property Management field.
Austin was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family & friends, running, and walking his dog at Memorial Park.
Ryan Young joined Fort Capital in February of 2023 as a Leasing Manager. In this role, Ryan is responsible for leasing Fort Capital’s Houston Industrial portfolio. Ryan’s key responsibilities are driving leasing across Fort Capital’s 4 million square feet including but not limited to negotiating renewals, and filling vacancies. He also assists the Property Management and Investment teams on new acquisition opportunities.
Ryan has a decade of commercial real estate experience in Houston, where he spent 7 years at Lee & Associates as a Director. During which he completed hundreds of industrial leases and investment sale transactions on behalf of institutional owners and local companies. He has expertise in financial analysis and always finds creative ways to get a deal done.
Ryan graduated with a BBA in Finance from Louisiana State University. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, and his two sons Warner and Hayes. He enjoys being outdoors playing golf or going on walks with his family. As a born and raised Houstonian, Ryan is a member of the Houston Live Stock & Rodeo Cookoff Teams.
Thomas joined Fort Capital in September 2022. As Houston Leasing Manager, Thomas conducts leasing on select Fort Capital industrial assets in the Houston market. He also supports Fort Capital’s deal pipeline by working directly with the Acquisitions and Property Management teams on new acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to joining Fort Capital, Thomas worked on the industrial leasing team for a full-service commercial real estate firm in Houston. In this role, he was responsible for project leasing assignments, market research, marketing, and business development efforts for his team.
Thomas is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics and History. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, reading, and cheering on the Houston Astros.
Daniela joined Fort Capital in October of 2023 as an Assistant Property Manager. In her role, she will be responsible for tenant relations, ensuring all day-to-day operations of our San Antonio assets run smoothly, and initiating and managing future capital projects.
Daniela brings a deep passion for learning, technology, and efficiency, which has resulted in innovative solutions for clients across the nation. With 2 years of experience in CRM, she played a pivotal role in managing a dynamic industrial portfolio spanning 5 million square feet in both San Antonio and Schertz.
Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, Daniela graduated from St. Marys University majoring in Speech Communication. Daniela also earned a certificate in Web Development from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In her spare time, Daniela enjoys traveling, learning new skills, and spending time with her family.
Michael Perales started with Fort Capital in January 2024 as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, he is responsible for maintenance requests across the Houston Area.
Before joining Fort Capital, Michael proudly served in the United States Navy, and after being honorably discharged, Michael went to school for residential and commercial HVAC and Refrigeration.
In his free time, Michael enjoys working out, playing baseball, and spending time with his family.
